I believe a beautiful outdoor space does more than look good. It changes how you feel.
My work draws on a background in landscape architecture and public health. What drives
every project is the conviction that good design is good for you.
Every space is different. I pay close attention to materials, proportion, plant
selection,
and how a garden moves. Because the details are where beauty actually lives.
Good design lives in the specifics. Materials are at the heart of every decision. Their
texture,
weight, and how they meet one another set the tone for the entire space. How a path
draws you
through a garden. Which plants hold their beauty through every season. I think about all
of it.
I work closely with each client from the first conversation through installation. The
goal
is a landscape that feels inevitable, like it could only ever have been yours.
Through thoughtful transformation, the landscape has been reimagined into a serene
sanctuary where nature and architecture harmonize to create inviting, functional spaces.
This front yard underwent a full transformation—from a flat, unremarkable lawn with
basic foundation
shrubs to a sculpted, welcoming landscape with layered interest.
This project was all about finding the right
balance—creating spaces that feel designed and intentional while preserving the natural
beauty and
openness of the land.
This rooftop deck was designed to make the most of the bay views while providing a
variety of spaces
for residents to spend time.

"I hired Dianne to design my landscape after being referred to her and she did not
disappoint. She is great to work with! She listened well to what we hoped for and made
very creative suggestions that met our target budget and look great. She thinks of all
the details, kept us well informed during the process, was able to show us in 3D what
she
suggested, and came up with a beautiful design for our family. I would recommend her to

"Dianne put her creativity and pragmatism to work in developing a recently-implemented
plan for our front, back, and side yards in Davis, CA. Her work reflected and extended
our interests and ideas as she brought forward a range of solutions toward delivering a
compelling concept that could be delivered within our price range. The resulting yard
has made a huge difference in our lives.…" She
selected plants that are easy to take care of
yet provide continual year-round blossoming, creating an interesting and flexible
canvas for our continued gardening efforts. She has turned our backyard into an
engaging and interesting environment exceeding our expectations. She also was an
excellent troubleshooter as the project was constructed, working effectively with
the
contractor throughout. I would highly recommend Dianne for both her landscape
architecture and her attention to detail in monitoring construction."

"Working with Dianne was one of the best decisions we made for our home. She is easy to
talk with, professional, and came in with far more ideas than I anticipated. Her
aesthetic is exceptional and she has a true gift for seeing what a space can be.…" She
redesigned our whole property and the result has been wonderful. We are outside so
much more than we ever were. Being in this space makes me happy, and that is not
something I expected a landscape design to do for us. It has had a real impact on
how
we live as a family. If you are looking for someone who listens, follows through,
and
truly loves what she does, Dianne is it. I cannot recommend her highly
enough."
